Accredited to offer NVQ Qualifications in your own centre through Awarding
Bodies such as City & Guilds, Edexcel, EDI(formerly)London Chamber of
Commerce, Oxford/Cambridge/RSA, The Institute of Management, or the Open
University.
A Centre may be Approved by
more than one Awarding Body by satisfying Centre Approval Criteria and payment
of annual centre fees.
The main conditions to be
satisfied to become an Approved Centre are :
1 Sufficient Physical
Resources, Rooms, Books, IT, AV Equipment, Study Areas.
2 Occupationally Competent
Assessors and Verifiers for the relevant NVQs.
3 Quality Systems which meet
Awarding Body Criteria for programme delivery.
4 Learning Resources, Induction
Materials, Assessment Materials for candidates.
5 Administration Systems to
Support Registration, Certification, Appeals.
2 Train at least one, preferably
two, staff as Unit V1 Internal Verifiers.
3 Or Network with
Occupationally Competent associates with
A1, A2, V1.
4 Operate initially as an
associate centre with an approved centre to develop
staff, systems, learning
materials, delivery strategy and a client base.
5 Apply for Full Approval to
Awarding Bodies offering appropriate NVQs.
Support is available for
Staff Training for Units A1, A2 and V1 and Associate Centre Status subject to
suitable Human and Physical Resources.
Centre Documentation can be
prepared for the Approval Process and
direct support given during
the Awarding Body Centre Approval Visit .
