Online Application to Regional Assessment Body (RAB) Tyro Training

Pre Assessment Self Evaluation against the Skills Broker Standard - Benchmarking

Statement of achievement against SFEDI/ NVQ 4 Units (OCR, SFEDI, BLU)

Issue of Temporary Certificate to Practice as a Skills Broker or

Further Information requested or telephone Interview (1 month completion from referral)

 

Part Two (to be completed within 6 months)

 

(a) Skills Broker Standards (2 Months)

Skills Broker Organisation Practice Review, Observations and Performance Report

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Test Online

Three Skills Broker Observations by RAB Assessors

Client Case Study (or simulation)

Competence Based Interview by RAB Assessor

Personal Development Plan for Skills Broker Standards

Internal Verification/Assessor Standardisation Meeting

Temporary Licence continues or is revoked if standard is not met

Re-assessment to be completed in  three months in no more than three attempts

 

(b) SFEDI/NVQ 4 Standards (3 Months)

Check SFEDI/NVQ achievement if from External Provider  ** 10 Week Rule

SFEDI/NVQ 4 Induction and Action Plan

Three Observations (could be those from Skills Broker Observations)

Unit K&U from Units 2,3,5,7

K&U of the Seven Key Areas of Business

SFEDI/NVQ 4 Personal Development Plan

Evidence Assessment and Portfolio Completion

Internal Verification/ External Verification/ Assessor Standardisation Meeting

Candidates recommended for inclusion to the National Register for Skills Brokers

 

Part Three( 1-2 Years)

Business Support as a Profession Group (BSAP) Audit within 12 months of PDSAR

SBO will arrange for observed performance of their Skills Brokers

To review effectiveness of Skills Broker delivery and Online CP

Online client satisfaction survey from employers to populate a National Database

Repeated Biennially thereafter
